Our Process for Home Remodels, Renovations, and Restorations
Building a Better Design-Build Experience
When our founder Mark decided to bring his construction experience to the residential market, he was confident about bringing a higher level of quality and service to homeowners. His design-build process helps clients feel comfortable with the overall project without overwhelming them.
Our in-house contractors have seen and solved every challenge and we bring this experience to the table when working with each one of our clients. This means you get fewer surprises and more focus on creating the space you want.

Our 6-Step Process for Success
Remodeling a home should feel exciting and worry-free, and following our outline is what helps us keep it that way. From the initial design elements to the completed project, we map out the process so you can keep track as we do the work.
1. Homeowner Preparation:
Once you have decided to remodel your home, we recommend some preliminary planning, and are happy to guide you through it. This includes:
- Creating a list of “must haves” for your remodeling project
- Creating a “wish list” of items that you might want to see in your project if budget allows
- Establishing a budget range for each project
- Determining when you would be ready to start your project
- Creating a “scrap book” of design ideas for your project
2. In-Home Consultation:
We come to your home to meet with you and understand the space by:
- Walking through your home while discussing your project
- Discussing design solutions and your budget range
- Outlining the next steps in the process
3. Design Review:
We do a follow up home visit to go over the design, making sure we:
- Have a clear vision of the remodel design
- Measure critical areas and take photos
- Review your budget guidelines
4. Formal Proposal:
Once we have all the information, our team puts together a proposal that is easy to understand and comprehensive, including:
- Overall budget, with cost ranges for aesthetics (for example, what kind of bathtub you choose)
- Scope of work
- Project timeline
We usually turn around proposals in two weeks, though that may vary depending on the complexity of the project. We will communicate this with you, and can either email or present the proposal in person.
5. Construction:
Upon approval of the proposal, we will draft the contract based off the scope of work as outlined in the proposal and schedule construction.
- We start by obtaining any and all necessary permits and approvals, if project requires permitting or design approvals from architectural boards (H.O.A.’s).
- We are unique in the sense that we self-perform most parts of the project with the exception of the trades requiring separate licensure. In other words, you will see the same workers throughout the entirety of the project.
- We believe in constant and open lines of communication between our principals and our clients throughout the construction process. If at any time you have a question and/or concern you will be able to reach us very easily to have your questions answered promptly.
6. Project Closeout:
Every project we do gets a quality control closeout. We work with you to outline any punch list items.
- With the punch list completed, we will meet with you at your home to discuss your remodeling experience, exploring the positives and negatives. This helps us continue to better serve our clients.
- At this meeting we will also discuss maintenance items and explain the function of certain products and go over your warranty.
